Welcome, one and all, to the House of Eovi.
The House of Eovi is a reality TV show where twenty contestants are shipped off to one of the many mansions of the illustrious celebrity, Amelia Sara Eovi.
Almost a year ago, one of the biggest networks in the world of television and radio asked Madame Eovi if she would like to take part in their new experimental TV show. They sent her their terms and waited patiently for her reply. Their wait was not very long. Never one to back out, Madame Eovi agreed and lent them her estate in a small, private community just off the coast of America.
Even in the germinal stages of the show, the House of Eovi was already getting quite a lot of acknowledgement, giving Madam Eovi even more of a reason to pay it copious attention. Auditions were held in various places and Madam Eovi, along with a few other important people, picked the contestants themselves. No one knows exactly what the criteria that they used was, but it was clear that they picked the right people as everyone agreed to their choice.
Now, the game commences.
Inside the House, the contestants will spend six months getting to know each other, completing given tasks, and even doing chores while being filmed by unseen cameras. Every week, the hopeful part-takers must present a video diary saying how they are finding the House and their fellow contestants so far. At the end of the six months, each of them will vote on who deserves the prize the most. The person who receives the most votes will receive a million dollars, a contract with Eovi Entertainment, a two-page spread in ONE, Teen People, Vanity Fair, and a chance to meet Amelia Sarah Eovi in person.
Every Saturdays and Wednesdays, Madame Eovi’s voice will be heard all throughout the House. This is how the contestants will be receiving their task. It can be something easy enough, like baking three-tier carrot cake, to something much bigger, like finishing some unknown, underground maze. Once in a while, a contestant will also get a ‘private mission’. A supervisor will deliver the letter to the chosen contestant and the said contestant will have a limited time to complete his or her task. Failure in any task will result in punishment.
But it isn’t only inside the House that frolic is assured. Only two other houses away is another house of participants for the House of Eovi. The people living here, however, are not contestants. There will be four people there that will act as supervisors. Not unlike the contestants, these four people were also handpicked by Amelia Sara Eovi herself. They will be required to join the contestants for dinner and visit the House of Eovi at least twice a week. There, their job is to break out-of-control fights, make sure the contestants aren’t wrecking the house, push a little drama, and observe their behavior. The four supervisors will also be able to vote for their favourite contestant by the end of six months.
To add more spice to the show, the producers also decided that each of the contestants will have a connection from outside the House. Without knowing that the person whose name they give the producers for someone they can contact ‘in case of emergency’ is also the person they will be required to call/write to every week, will the contestants be able to keep up their façade of smiles while talking to someone who knows just who they really are?
Things are going smoothly inside the House of Eovi, but will certain little, seemingly harmless things break the silence and smash it into pieces, raging chaos inside and outside the House?
Rivalries and alliances will form. Love will ensue. Drama is certain.
