Sample paragraph: 

The second I walked in, I knew I was in over my head.  These people were so beautiful that they practically shined.  I couldn’t take my eyes off of them.  It was like I had stepped into a movie.  They were smiling and laughing like they had known each other their whole lives.  The girl’s had perfectly styled, shiny hair and blinding smile.  The guys had angular faces and muscles that made girls weak at the knees.  Why was I here?

I stood there awkwardly rubbing my arms from the cold and chewing on my bottom lip when I saw him.  He stood near a group of guys laughing at some joke one of them had made.  

My stomach curled and I felt heat travel over my skin, starting at my finger tips and toes and ending at my chest.  It was like I had forgotten how to breathe.  What was going on?  I couldn’t be feeling this way because of that guy.  I mean I don’t even know him.  But looking at him, I realized it didn’t matter.  This handsome man, with his sparkling green eyes and strong jaw, held me captive.  I couldn’t look away.  

Then he turned and looked at me.  As his eyes met mine, I felt like I was melting.  His gaze were so intense that I felt like he could see everything inside me; like he knew every secret I kept, every regret I had, and every moment that made me smile.  I couldn’t look away.  Then suddenly, it was over. He gaze released me as he turned back to the guys he was talking to.
