Landon Hart | 19 | “The Loud Covert” | FC: Max Irons | Open
Landon is the type of guy you would expect to see sitting in a corner by the window, taking pictures of the view down below. Then you’ll find him at the center of a party, showing everyone how to have a good time. Landon’s charismatic and mysterious, but has a soft, creative side. He can be a bit quiet sometimes, but he is never one to back out of a prank war. Most times, he’s even the one who proposes the prank war. He’s fun to talk to and can be absolutely hilarious, but also dislikes meaningless conversations and is a bit of a heart breaker. Girls never simply give up, though, and Landon’s gotten used to that. What he hasn’t gotten used to, however, is the accent of everyone around him.
All his life, Landon has lived in the UK, bathed in luxury passed onto him by his late parents. For some reason, however, Landon finds himself inside the House of Eovi seeking the comfort only a true family and friends could provide. Yes, his nanny was a wonderful person, but there were things that simply can’t be shared with her. Like his lack of a love life, for one.
Almost three years have passed since the plane crash that killed Landon’s parents and younger sister, but his heart still wrenches whenever he thinks about them. He avoids even talking about them now. Can anyone be able to break through Landon’s sarcastic demeanor and teach him to listen to his heart?
Why did you apply for the House of Eovi? I had nothing else to do anyway.
What do you want to gain from the House of Eovi? Entertainment, perhaps.
->Landon’s secret: He longs for love.
Elizabeth Rowe | 19 | FC: Carly Rae Jepsen | Open
Their relationship:
Ever since they were freshmen, Matt’s always had this crush on Elizabeth. He was a transfer and one look at Elizabeth, he knew. Transferring was definitely a good decision. Plus, it was about time that he moved one from his last breakup and just ask this beautiful brunette out. Little did he know that a worse heartbreak awaited him.
Elizabeth never loved Matt. In fact, she’s always thought he was too clingy. But he was cute, so she kept him around. Plus, he was a bit of a heartthrob among her group of her friends. She loved the attention that being with him gave her. She loved the gifts he would shower her with. She loved that feeling that so many other girls would die to be with Matt, but he chose her. She loved it all. Matt, himself, though… Elizabeth would much rather talk about homework than her feelings for her lover. She just didn’t like him. Period.
Two years and seven months after Elizabeth first officialized their relationship, Matt found himself simply staring at the wall in his room. Elizabeth broke up with him. And she did it over the phone. He could even hear the voice of another guy telling Elizabeth to hang up already. Matt felt like shit. He’s been hearing rumours about Elizabeth cheating on him, but he never believed any of them. His love for her blinded him. But he was done now. He didn’t long for revenge or anything of the sort, but he needed to leave. And leave he did.
The Connection:
Elizabeth has no insecurities, emotionally-scarring secrets, or anything of the likes. She’s simply a bitch. She’s beautiful, and she knows exactly how to use that to her advantage. As a kid, she competed in pageants. She always won. She’s part of a financially blessed family, and she sure isn’t a hypocrite with her opinions about money. Elizabeth has always known what she wanted. Frankness has always been one of her favourite weapons. She’s always lived a simple, no-nonsense life. She might be a bitch, but she definitely does not deny it. Being fake has never been Elizabeth’s thing.
All this changes when she finds out that Matt was accepted as a contestant in the House of Eovi. Regret flooded her whole being. Had she not broken up with him, she would most definitely have been his first choice as his Connection. It would’ve been instant and certain fame for Elizabeth. But as it turned out, Matt didn’t put a name in the blank space next to ‘Connection’ in his application form. It was her chance. She contacted the producer and made sure she would get to be Matt’s Connection. And, of course, she got exactly that. She is Elizabet Rowe, after all. Elizabeth Rowe always gets what she wants.
Jacob Morgan | 19 | FC: Josh Hutcherson | Open
Their relationship:
As siblings, it’s safe to say that Jacob and Jessie’s relationship isn’t exactly perfect. They teased each other, took each other’s lunch money, hid each other’s things, tricked each other into doing the other’s chores, embarrassed each other, and even wanted to kill each other occasionally, but that’s just the fact that they’re siblings. And those things died out when the two become teenagers, of course.
Jacob and Jessie still insult each other teasingly a lot, but they’ve definitely been a lot more controlled than when they were kids. While Jacob likes scaring off guys who like Jessie, Jessie likes befriending Jacob’s girlfriends and ruining their perfect image of him. These things never work, though. Jessie’s never had very many suitors in the first place, but those who do try to get to know her are actually very determined. And though Jacob is a bit of a jerk sometimes, his girlfriends always love him too much to ever care about the Jessie’s childhood stories about Jacob.
The Connection:
Jacob is a jock, but not the typical kind you see in movies. He’s their school’s most valuable player, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that he only dates the cheerleaders. In fact, his girlfriend as of the moment is quite the science geek. And Jacob loves that about her. He’s not a judgmental person and he always tries to see the good in everyone, even if he has to strain his neck in doing so. He can be annoying and quite proud, but he is still a person with flaws.
More than he’s ever showed, Jacob really loves his sister. The over protective way that he glares at her occasional lovers is usually translated as him trying to scare the guys away, but it’s actually his own way of being a good brother to Jessie, even if she doesn’t see it that way at all. When she announced that she was entering the House of Eovi, Jacob practically jumped in joy that his sister wouldn’t be there to interrupt his moments with his girlfriend anymore. But when he found out about each contestant having a Connection, he also jumped at the opportunity of being able to keep an eye out for his sister.
Nicholas Thrupp | 19 | FC: Hunter Parrish | Taken
Their relationship:
One summer day somewhere in northwestern Europe, amidst the quiet streets of a tiny village was ten year old Adeline and her dog. She carried a list of things that her grandmother asked her to buy, but was having a lot of trouble finding the market itself. She stood still on the very middle of the street, reading things out from the list. A crowd of kids only a few years older than she came running towards her and Addie only froze on her spot. The next thing she knew, she was on the floor with a strained ankle and a ruined list. Only one of the kids who crashed into her came back to apologize.
Nicholas, then thirteen, was playing tag with his friends. He wasn’t even aware that their group had already hurt someone with all their running and hiding. When he saw the fallen girl on the ground, not even crying, Nicholas quickly ran over to help her up. The only problem was, she couldn’t. Introductions were pushed aside and the extremely distraught Nicholas immediately asked Adeline where she lived and carried her there. No complaints were heard. Adeline didn’t even get the chance to tell him that she was okay. But ever since that day, the two couldn’t remember a time when they were apart for more than a day.
Nicholas grew up caring for Adeline like a younger sister. He got angry whenever Adeline hurt herself in any way and would scold her for not wearing at least two layers of clothes during winter time. He was over-protective and would usually glare at the boys who even tried getting close to Addie and the girls who teased her for being strange.
During the time after Adeline was sexually assaulted by two seniors, Nicholas was in rage. It was him that Adeline came running to immediately after the incident, but he had to leave her for a few hours to make sure that those two seniors would need surgery to get their bone structure back to normal again. He quit school and went back to the province with Adeline the very next day.
The Connection:
Nicholas is basically a fun-loving guy with an open mind and a loving heart. In both of his high schools, he was the heartthrob who was flirty but simply unreachable. Needless to say, Nicholas was abashed when Adeline told him about her acceptance into the House of Eovi and lectured her about safety for two long hours, but let her go nonetheless. He didn’t know about each contestant having a Connection, but was glad to know that it was his name Adeline put in her application as hers.
Whenever inside the House of Eovi, Nicholas tries his best not to be too wary of the male contestants. He befriends everyone and is really quite the popular one, but his eyes always somehow drift back to Adeline. Will Adeline falling for someone else finally make him realize just how much he loves her? Or will jealousy get to him first and evoke an argument between them for the very first time?
Matt McHenry | 19 | “The Hopeless Romantic” | FC: Nico Tortorella | Taken
At first sight, Matt is what everyone would think to be a rebel. He has the appearance of the typical bad boy that all the girls swoon over, what with the leather jackets and spiky black hair. But that isn’t who he is at all.
Matt is quite the sensitive guy who wears his heart on his sleeve. And despite the fact that most girls would give anything to be with him, Matt gets his heart broken painfully often. He loves and trusts people too easily, but the the girls that he takes a liking too tend to be the ones who just won’t like him back for who he is and would only date him because of his looks and popularity. His sweet and loving trait always seems to get him and his fragile heart into a lot of trouble.
His last girlfriend has just broken up with him for another guy and Matt couldn’t take the pity of his friends back home anymore. So when he received the news telling him he was accepted into the House of Eovi, he knew it was the final sign that he should go ahead and start anew. Will Matt go home broken hearted once more or will he finally find the girl who will love him back just as much as he loves her?
Why did you apply for the House of Eovi? I wanted a break from home, from everything.
What do you want to gain from the House of Eovi? I… don’t know. I just needed an excuse to leave, I suppose.
->Matt’s secret: He’s self esteem is actually very low, despite his confident acts. He doesn’t think he’ll ever be good enough for anyone.
Wade Carlton | 19 | “Mister Misunderstood” | FC: Gaspard Ulliel | Open
Having been overshadowed by his successful older brother and gorgeous younger sister, Wade has never wanted anything more than to finally be able to leave home and live on his own. How, though, he has no idea. Wade lives off of his family’s fortune and doesn’t want to get a job. He’s never even thought of ever actually having to look for a job. He’s always thought that when the time comes, he’ll just inherit their family business. Easy. Plus, his pride is far too high up to actually admit that he needs money.
But when the opportunity of winning a million dollars easily came into view, Wade knew better than to just let it pass. Wade can be a bit rude, disrespectful, and very strange, but once you get to know him, you’ll realise that maybe he’s just craving the attention he never got from his family. And even though he can also be a bit of a bully to some, his guilt eventually eats him up and forces him to apologise.
Why did you apply for the House of Eovi? And why would I tell you? That’s personal business.
What do you want to gain from the House of Eovi? Money, obviously enough.
->Wade’s secret: The only person he actually trusts is his younger sister.
